Grammys 2012

The 2012 Grammys. If you want to know who won the answer would be Adele. She won almost everything but best dressed. If you have been alive this past week you know that Whitney Houston died. She is not the only thing that died, so did color. The biggest trend was black. Almost everyone wore it. My favorite award is best dressed. From her famous song that is almost as old as Cyndi Lauper “Stars are Blind” she was one of the only ones who isn’t, Paris Hilton. White looks good on everyone. The cut of the dress is beautiful. It is just fabulous. Onto my most favorite award worst dressed. All the way from Sweden, Robyn. Like they say in Swedish hon behöver fettsugning. In German it means she needs liposuction. She might be three months pregnant, who’s the father? The shoes are as ugly as her haircut. I know her name is Robyn I didn’t realize she was the super hero too. Loose the cape, get some extensions, get some more fabric and will talk.

I loved A Separation, it was great for many reason. The acting was great; I think the reason was really great because they were Iranian. It also showed great Iranian culture. Also it was just a great movie showing disagreements between the rich and the poor. It also had great suspense.

WAR HORSE.

War Horse. It was a great film, but there was terrible acting. There is no way is hell this film will get any Oscars, except for maybe something in cinematography. Also a few nominations here and there because it’s a tearjerker and a Spielberg. The fashion was boring. It was just Peasants and Military outfits. What I did like about it was the story, the horse, and the beautiful cinematography. Overall I give it 3 out of 5 Couture points.

Halloween, not so great this year. I honestly think I had the best costume Lady GaGa Skeleton Tuxedo from her Born This Way music video. The costume I wanted to see this year was Nina from Black Swan. The black Swan not the white Swan. The Costume I found is very sexy and Classy. I love the feathers

Macaron Dress Vs. Macarons

I don’t know what the hell is better, a macaron, or a macaron dress. I know that a macaron dress is so summery, but I just dress because of the aura of the dress silhouette. (Maybe the aura just coming to me by all the sugar from these amazing macarons) I love these cookies so much if anybody is looking for a macaron place, here is a great one. My favorite flavors are Cassis, Vanilla, and Strawberry. If you want to wear a macaron dress now in the fall then I would recommend finding a purple and black one. Purple as the body of the dress and black covering the cleavage. To stay warm wear a pair of BLACK tights with a cool embroidered design on it I suggest Wolford. (Pics Above)

Today i experienced a new first. I had a model wear my skirt. You must be wondering, your skirt? Yes my skirt, the skirt I designed and sewed with my sewing instructor. I had a lot of fun making this skirt. My next mission is to make a blouse out of Charmuse.

P.S. I didn’t see the horses when i bought the fabric. Do you hate it or love it?

When I go around New York with my life doing errands or just on my schedule I will find people who I love their style. This Week it is Gretchen Hirsch. Gretchen lives in New York and she is actually my sewing instructor. What even makes her style better is she makes all of her clothes. In this photo she is wearing a pink and white brocade dress. Gretchen is definitely very into the 50’s vintage dress type. Which I love and what is very in, in the fashion world. I would say the 50’s and 40’s were the best decades in style in the 20th century.
